So, you may be interested in having a Devon Lair kitten of your own. Welcome! We are glad you found our site and hope you find answers to your questions here on our site. If you still have questions, please email me at admin@devonlair.com.

Our policies:

All kittens are sold as pets only. They will be spayed or neutered before being handed over to their new owners. 

All kittens will go to their new homes dewormed, vaccinated, and microchipped. These costs are part of the adoption fee.

We will place interested people on a waiting list only after they have completed our on-line questionnaire. Each person who completes the questionnaire and checks off that they want to be on the waiting list will be put on the waiting list in the order that their questionnaire was completed. 

Once someone has completed the questionnaire we will contact you and let you know the availability of kittens at that time and when we may be expecting another litter. We are a very small cattery, with only 2 breeding females and one male.

The total price of each kitten is $1200. You must fill out and sign a contract before purchasing a kitten from us. You can request that ahead of time, or we will send it to you once we receive your deposit. When the kittens reach 8 weeks of age, we will accept deposits of $300 per kitten (non-refundable). At the time of paying the deposit, you will be able to specify which kitten you would like from which ones are available. The deposit will go towards the total cost of the kitten. Our cats are ready to go to their new homes at 16 weeks of age. 

We are very big on taking pictures of our kittens for prospective owners to see their growth throughout their time with us. We will also send videos of any you are interested in so you can see what type of personality it has.  

We do not feel comfortable with sending cats on flights without a courier. We do have a courier who is willing to fly your kitten in the cabin with her if that is an option you are interested in. We are also willing to drive up to 8 hours to deliver a kitten to you. There will be an added fee for either of these methods. 

We ask that you keep the cat indoors only, or if you are planning to take outdoors, that it be on a leash. Also, know that having your cat outdoors can expose them to various illnesses, both bacterial and viral. They will also be exposed to mosquito bites (which can cause heartworms), fleas, and ticks.

We do not allow declawing of any of our kittens. If that is something you are planning, please look to another cattery to find a kitten. We have done careful research on this and it is very painful and detrimental to your cat’s overall health.

You will need to agree to seeking prompt medical care for your cat when needed. 

If you decide that for any reason you are no longer able to care for the cat you purchased from Devon Lair, you agree to notify us first so that we can take the cat back and either keep it, or find it a new home.
